Los Angeles Bucket List

Oldies but goodies

Just a [link filled] reminder… Certain recipes are so good they are worth repeating.  Often. Like quinoa granola. And egg & kale breakfast strata (in muffin form). And mushroom miso & squash stew. And daiya pizza. And vegetarian chorizo & kale rice casserole. Easter happenings

I almost titled this post Easter “hop”penings.  Too cheesy?  I agree.  Every once in a while I’m able to deny the puns (sorry dad). The night before Easter Sunday we had some family visitors come over to see P…and bring us dinner! Salad bar 🙂 Mine was a little like a nicoise salad with green beans, red potatoes, eggs, and a vinaigrette dressing (Girard’s light champagne), but it also had chickpeas, beets, and cucumbers as well.  Best part of all was that I didn’t have to do any of the prep!  I set the table… Read more >

The drive home and the day on campus

I made a major mistake and didn’t say decaf when I ordered this (venti soy misto) before we hit the road to come home from NorCal. I was very perky!  I hope P didn’t get as high as I did off the caffeine!  Oops!! The rest of the road trip was similar to the first one – Kyle and I traded off driving duties and our little man slept 99% of the time. I packed up our eats again.  Similar as always.
