Love how detailed my weekend plans were? When you have no agenda, it’s pretty easy to stick to it…coffee, check. B-fast, check. Alvarado street bread toasted with greek yog and “egg” on top. I lazed the AM away watching the Real Housewives of NYC, while Kyle rolled his eyes and made sarcastic remarks throughout(sometimes crap TV is the best way to start the weekend). Clearly Bethanny is going to continue to provide the majority of the show’s entertainment for the second season, too. Apparently, my breakfasts even get their own desserts now! Crunch! I… Read more >

I literally was craving brekkie foods all day…so why fight it. I had today off from work (finally), so I allowed myself to sleep in and it felt great!! Normally when I work, I have to wait to take my lunch break until my patients are stable, which sometimes isn’t until well after noon, so I end up going HOURS between my AM starbucks loading and my PM lunch (hence the need for my daily odwalla bars). Anyways, the point I am getting at, is that after working several days in a row, I miss… Read more >

I woke up to Kyle getting ready for work (he’s normally so quiet, but lately, not so much)…so (again) I embraced it and got the day under way. Unlike Kelly, I chose tv over napping 🙂 I went craaaazy with my coffee this morning, frothed vanilla silk and a stevia/cinnamon combo sprinkled on top. Um, this is my heaven. Brekkie: Fench toast with “egg” beaters and Alvarado street bread…with a lot of Earth Balance melted on top. Lunch: Sammie on Alvarado street bread with sabra hummus, greek yogurt, tofu AND smart deli “turkey” plus… Read more >

Today was a totally snack-y day. I didn’t even really do meals, I was just grazing all day long. That’s the bad part about about having days off when the weather is only 15 degrees outside. I broke the fast with a HUGE glass of chocolate soymilk followed by a CHOCOLATE loaded coffee. This stuff is THICK and sooooo good. I am normally a silk soymilk girl, but this was on sale so I decided to give it a shot. Man, was I in heaven. It took all self control to not chug the entire… Read more >

The weather cracked into the 40s today, time to celebrate! I was so happy when I woke up, it was sunny out and I had the day off to enjoy the nice weather outside. Here’s my morning cup of joe…along with some figs, carob covered raisins, and the crossword. Talk about starting the day off right. Since I woke up earlier than usual, I got hungry earlier than usual, so I made some french toast that I doused in Earth Balance. This whole wheat Alvarado Street bread is good, maybe even better than the California… Read more >
