I smell like Mucomyst

And it’s NOT pretty…it may be the worst smell ever. No.  It’s definitely the worst smell ever.  Yep, I just conducted a study.  9 out of 10 researchers agreed with me (I think the 10th guy was sleeping with the drug rep).  I may be off “egg” products for a while because of this… Lunch Same sammie as ayer (bell pepps, “turkey,” greek yog, and hummus) Plus the usual side-kicks, along with a NEWBIE (and new obsession).  Dude, figs and carob covered raisins = heaven.  Holy yum, talk about a party in my mouth!!  I… Read more >

the silk comeback

Oh, SILK soy milk, how I missed you – let me count the ways.  Glass of silk before leaving for work Silky soy latte from Starbucks to kick start my first day back on the unit Soy misto with lunch (from Starbucks, too) And that’s only noon! Here’s my sammie, packed the night before.  It’s smart deli “turkey” with the works. This baby never disappoints!  I also had a Berries GoMega odwalla bar with my AM coffee and the dried fruit with my PM JUG of apple juice.  Yeah, I really really sugar loaded at… Read more >

Planes, trains, and automobiles

A recap of my travel filled day: Wake up call at 5 am, off to JFK at 6 am (I literally took 3 different forms of transportation to get to the airport, including the subway, the Long Island Rail Road, and the air tram)…quite the workout for the crack of dawn.  Needless to say, I was exhausted once I got to the airport, which is pretty pathetic, considering I haven’t worked in a week and have had 10+ hours of sleep every night.  I’m turning into a sloth apparently?  Without a starbucks in sight, I… Read more >

What goes with hummus?

Answer: everything!  (duh!!) Honestly, what doesn’t go with hummus?!?!  I L-O-V-E sabra (so clearly I had a ton of hummus with dinner)!  I should start a Sabra fan club or something… Quite the plate of goodies: GC tofu, sweet potatoes, and a ww heel of bread – all topped with creamy, savory, classic hummus Ummm, how AMAZING does this bite look?  A chunk of tofu and a sweet potato circle held together with a dollop of hummus, HOLY YUM!! I wasn’t full, though, so I decided to try a new vegan product.  Chik’n strip “meal… Read more >

back to BRRR

Cheers to 2009, but jeers to leaving home to return to snow. I packed a TON of plane food the night before (the LAST thing I want is to be stranded/delayed in an airport without food options). With the other end piece of the Alfaro’s bread, the rest of the veggie cheddar shreds, mushrooms, and a fresh, organic tomato, I made a pretty gourmet sando. Check it out! It turned into a monster as I was making it, so it’s a good thing the bread is SUPER thick to hold all that stuff in. DAYAM!… Read more >
