After dancing spastically bopping around the apartment (all evening), singing my own made-up lyrics to the slumdog millionaire song, Kyle insisted I was being retarded and there was NO way they were screaming “die ho.” As usual, he was right…I did some googling, and that’s how the title of the post came about. At least now he has nothing one fewer complaint with my energetic insanely obnoxious performance. Anyways…focus Elise…oh that’s right, food! In today’s coffee I frothed my soymilk with some sf vanilla syrup…I’m turning into a little barista! PB puffins :) I heated… Read more >

Love how detailed my weekend plans were? When you have no agenda, it’s pretty easy to stick to it…coffee, check. B-fast, check. Alvarado street bread toasted with greek yog and “egg” on top. I lazed the AM away watching the Real Housewives of NYC, while Kyle rolled his eyes and made sarcastic remarks throughout(sometimes crap TV is the best way to start the weekend). Clearly Bethanny is going to continue to provide the majority of the show’s entertainment for the second season, too. Apparently, my breakfasts even get their own desserts now! Crunch! I… Read more >

…is carob 🙂 I definitely went overboard with the carob today – it’s just SO good, I can’t help it. Whatever. It’s healthy, right? It’s all veggiegirl’s fault! Honestly, if I ever got my hands on a bag of carob chips (like Erin did) lord help me! Heading in to work on Monday morning was a little depressing. Everyone else is on DAY 3 of the weekend, but I’m on DAY 3 of WORKING…I know my work schedule generally rocks, so I shouldn’t be complaining, but it’s still sad when I know everyone else is… Read more >

So, today’s breakfast must have been subconsciously inspired by the Superbowl, since I had a super bowl of oats followed by another super bowl of soy yogurt with figs and raisins. I think Bob’s Red Mill is my fave brand of oats now. They are so fluffy, despite being “quick” oats. I added in creamy peanut butter, carob covered raisins, and vanilla soy milk. Carob covered raisins are amazing to add in to oats because they melt and you are left with a bowl of raisins along with a slight “chocolate” flavoring to your oats. … Read more >
