If you’re even remotely hungry or in a state of questionable self control, I’d recommend skipping this post. Serious food porn coming your way. I used this recipe. Minus the icing on top. Because that way I can ice them differently each time I have one. And thus far, I’ve been partial to melty coconut butter and Earth Balance. But peanut butter isn’t too shabby either. Neither is maple syrup. Soooo…yeah. These are really awesome. Highly recommend. That said, these biscuit cinnamon rolls are still my faves. Doesn’t [vegan] butter just make everything… Read more >

I’m sure at least a few of you saw that video way back when right? It’s now the anthem I sing in my head anytime I go to yoga. Normal? Nah. [Side note: Kyle wants to meet DJ Dave in a huge way…and since he’s clearly a Santa Monica resident, I think it’s only a matter of time…I just hope I’m not with him when it happens] I started the day with a non-cereal version of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Aka toast with Earth Balance and sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top. Lovely. Since yoga was… Read more >

Maybe one servings worth? Stupid serving sizes. Snack: apple + Trilogy Kombucha In the afternoon, Kyle went on a walk and wound up in our old neighborhood and decided to pop into Santa Monica Seafood. This is the only place I’ve found close to me that makes… Read more >

We drove down to San Juan Capistrano on Thursday evening and stayed through Monday. Some friends joined us for part of the time. We cooked. We ate. We drank. We relaxed. The weekend may as well be titled “blissful nothingness”. It was perfect. When we first arrived, the priority was dinner. That’s what 3 hours… Read more >

More pasta? What the? Let me explain. Kyle likes noodles. And he really likes noodles with tomato sauce. I think they’re okay, but Italian is really not my thing. I make it every so often to appease him (also it’s probably the quickest and easiest meal to make). Boil water. Congrats, your a chef! So yeah, here’s how I cheat and make him think I’ve turned water into wine ground beef into hearty vegan sauce. When the noodles are almost done but still al dente, I drain the water and add two frozen veggie… Read more >
