Meal time trivia

1. What’s the breakfast I’ll never get sick of? Oatmeal.    Because no two bowls are the same.  Ever.  I’m in a ’smores phase at the moment thanks to these home-made marshmallows.    Some of my latest combos have included peanut butter, marshmallows, cinnamon, raisins, bananas, and carob chips. Stuffing in Spring

Easter weekend

I survived!  This past weekend was my first string of shifts back at the hospital after two weeks on my death bed.  I’m still on antibiotics and my ear and head are still congested (and requiring their own med cocktail), but my cough is loose and minimal and I can breath, stand upright and walk.  I’m like a human again!  Hooray.  Still no exercise though.  Which meant Kyle ran the Hollywood Half by himself.   Since I was at work, Ethel and her sister took over official cheerleading duties.  How cute is their poster?!? Crockpot Steel Cut Oats

Are you ready for this? Slow Cooker Irish Oatmeal Ingredients: 1 cup steel cut oats 4 cups liquids (I used 3 cups water & 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk) 2 tsp cinnamon 1 apple, skinned & chopped 1/4 cup raisins stevia to taste Directions: Add apples, raisins, and cinnamon to crock-pot.  Plus 1 cup steel cut oats.  Then 4 cups liquids.
