Here are some products I’ve tried lately. Some were bad, some were okay, some were good, and some were awesome. So I figured I’d share. I have no affiliation with any of these companies. These are simply my honest opinions. 1. blue monkey coconut chips I got these as a freebie for some educational event I went to, but I know they are sold at Whole Foods as well as mainstream grocers (check the “ethnic foods” aisle). I really loved them and although they were sweetened, I’d buy them again. I used them as… Read more >

Here’s the real indicator that I’m type A…I literally clean the blender parts and put them away before I drink my smoothie. Even when I’m a crazy hangrypants. Please tell me there are others out there who do this too? I know the OCD tendencies run deep in food bloggers, so I don’t think I’m going too out on a limb with this. But I definitely do it every. single. time. I make a smoothie. Other dishes, not so much. I’ll wait til after I eat breakfast to clean the frying pan (usually because I… Read more >

[Actually I said one step forward, two steps back, but we really are moving in the positive so that’s an inaccurate portrayal of the situation] Truth be told, I bet all parents feel like this, even the ones without children with allergies. Mama’s little helper. The addition of shoes to the wardrobe has transformed him into a little boy. He’s non-stop exploring. Still not walking, but he’s perfected his cruising skills, so it’s only a matter if time (days). Green toys. And now the word tractor is a part of his vocab. Davis appropriate. Inspired by Vintage Mixer’s kale coconut & chicken salad I made this guy for lunch. I have been struuuuuggling with lunches lately. I don’t know what to eat without soy or nuts or hummus. I’ve been trying to limit meat to… Read more >

As I’ve shared several times before, this recipe is on repeat all the time here at the HHH household. It’s an allergy friendly winner! I make it with blueberries instead of chocolate chips most of the time, but sometimes (if I don’t have blueberries on hand), I just leave them as plain pumpkin muffins without any add-ins. Still great! Anyway, I wanted to try a savory version in an effort to trick P into eating some squash. Yes, I’ve no resorted to "sneaky chef" techniques – baking veggies into my kid’s food. I’ve been… Read more >
