Nothing too interesting going on in this casa. Simple weekend fun. I woke up at 8 feeling much better than yesterday (thanks for all the well wishes). It’s funny how every time I mention I’m not feeling well the first question people ask is “are you pregnant?” In fact, anytime anything remotely baby related comes up in conversation people think it’s appropriate to ask when I’m planning to have kids. I can’t even say “awww” to a cute little toddler without people assuming it means I’m getting ready for mommy mode. I don’t really mind… Read more >

Oh night shift, how you disrupt my sleep cycle. How’s that for a cluttered night stand?! The ear plugs are the latest addition to help with my daytime snoozing sitch. Ugh. Again, I slept minimally after noche dos of nursing. Side note: I’m always hesitant to use that word when talking about night shift because I get weird google search terms…sorry to all the moms nursing their newborns all night long searching the internet for nursing related advice…only to click on my blog and not find anything helpful. My packed food was perfection. I’m… Read more >

I don’t care if it adds 25 pounds of dead weight that I have to schlep by plane, train, and automobile, for me it’s SO worth the energy. The cost to benefit analysis probably differs depending on your… Read more >

The chefs at Napa Valley Grille thought they were making a decadent chocolate cake… But to my husband, chocolate is chocolate is chocolate. Eaten like a brownie-from-a-box. Klassy. My ultra refined taste buds demand much better manners. I prefer my chocolate in the form of a Larabar – especially the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. I’m so glad I get to spread the Lara-love! :) After reading through SO many brilliant comments, I get to finally announce the winner of the Larabar giveaway… Congrats to Clare from Fitting It All In! [thx random.org] Just email… Read more >
