I just finished eating this… Not the whole thing. I started with the portion on the right, but the caramel was soooo gooey and delicious that I ended up picking off most of the caramel, chocolate, nutty coating on the other portion. There was SO much caramel between the chocolate layer and the apple that I could twist the entire fruit around inside the chocolate shell. If you’re wondering how it tasted, imagine the best candy bar ever with a delicious crunchy, tangy apple on the side. Can you even believe that I haven’t had… Read more >

Our apartment is a dentist’s nightmare. The only thing I brought back from Argentina was chocolate. Chocolate bars, chocolate cookies, chocolate covered this and chocolate covered that. Cadbury makes so many products you can’t get here in the states, so I obviously had to bring home several to sample. And since I fell in love with alfajor cookies, I brought a dozen or so of them back with me too. Needless to say, I have a few pounds of desserts to work through in 2012 and I’m very happy about it. Add on top of… Read more >

Kyle got jealous with all my chocolate peanut butter cup eating. So I made him something to shut him up delight his taste buds, too. I made four, thinking they’d last him through the week. Melt butter. Combine with the rest of the ingredients. … Read more >

I have no clue what that title is about. Sorry. I did a lot of baking today and maybe I’m high off the fumes (because vanilla and cinnamon can have that effect right?). This chef-tastic session in the kitchen may have something to do with my breakfast. Gingersnaps make excellent fuel. And by fuel I mean sugar cravings. The problem with having a massive and delicious cookie for breakfast is it sets the bar VERY high for the rest of the day’s food. If you’ve already had dessert nirvana by 9 am, it leaves little… Read more >

I worked this weekend which was whatever. I don’t feel like talking about it. I do feel like sharing my packed up eats though. I made a pumpkin raisin chia pudding the day before, so I added some of it to my overnight oats, along with a banana. Here’s the mix all stirred up together… Soaking raisins plumps them up to such a delightful state! Here’s the rest of the goodies…carrots, corn nuts, granola bar, banana bread, candied ginger, salty dark chocolate. I have been storing these dried fruit and nut granola bars… Read more >
