My sister finally got to meet her nephew!!! Even though I knew she was coming home, I couldn’t tell anyone because it was a surprise for her best friend’s bachelorette party. My immediate family knew, but I didn’t even want to tell any of my friends, for fear facebook postings would give her away. The whole thing went off without a hitch and my sister’s bestie was totally shocked when she showed up in Napa. And bonus for me, I got to see her for the first time in over a year! What a ladies… Read more >

When my hands are tied up and time is of the essence, I’ve been relying pretty heavily on two things. Theme number one: snack plates Veggies, meatless meatballs, Stubb’s BBQ sauce, Mary’s Gone twigs, sweet potatoes, daiya cheese, GF tortillas… This was a meatless meatball round (WF / 365 brand is bomb). I’m only 3 days into Kyle’s 10 days out of town and pretty sure I’m going to turn into an almond by day 5 at the rate I’m pounding through this Costco tub of roasted nuts. And I haven’t written a single new post aside from this one I’m working on now. Which may or may not go live before Kyle returns. Oh, hey, I can grab rings, no biggie. This week was a busy one for us as we were out of town all last weekend. Lots of things to still get straightened away in setting up our house. Ugh! Moving takes forever. Also, Kyle left mid-week for a bachelor party (yes, the festivities began on Wednesday). So we… Read more >
