My two current obsessions are the following: (1) Peanut butter covered pretzels (2) Sesame sticks These are the kind of items I wind up buying from Whole Foods when I don’t go grocery shopping with Kyle. I call them absolutely-necessary-but-really-totally-unnecessary purchases. And I can (and do!) make entire meals revolve around them. And there’s no end in sight. Exhibit A Exhibit B Exhibit C, D, & E I’m not joking, I crave salads around the clock solely because of these salty, crunchy, and delicious sesame sticks. Even thought the above green beasts all… Read more >

This week has been truly perfect. Much needed after last week’s sh!t storm of crazy. Friday couldn’t have been a more amazing end to the week either. Kyle has Fridays off, so we both got to sleep in. Brilliant start already. Then we found out his waffle company made it to the finals – open to the public (on May 26th) if you want to attend. Winner gets investors and money and a bunch of press, so this is HUGE. While Kyle had a quick conference call I went on a short run (showered); and… Read more >

Last year I don’t know what I was doing on Easter, but it was likely something indoors and snow avoidant. This year I was hoping for a more cheery holiday. Not quite what I got. Let me rephrase: not at ALL what I got. It took me a while to write this because I think I was (am) still in shock about the whole thing, even days after Easter Sunday. What I do remember is feeling like I was having an out of body experience. At several points I thought is this really happening? Like,… Read more >

I fell in love with Palo Alto this weekend. The downtown area has such charm and Stanford’s campus is absolutely gorgeous. Huge. And gorgeous. The first time we walked down this palm tree lined street, I was mesmerized by the endless green. It is one of the prettiest entrances to a campus I’ve ever seen. The second time, however, I was less impressed (and more annoyed) with the distance. The third, fourth, and eighth time I schlepped from the hotel to campus I dragged my feet the whole way, cursing the campus for being so… Read more >

I’m currently in our hotel room in Palo Alto watching Kyle nap. It’s not as creepy as it sounds. We woke up crazy early to get to Stanford for a weekend thing, and since I snoozed for 45 minutes on the way, he is getting his own beauty rest now so we are on level playing fields (sleep-wise). After doing Jillian Michaels’ yoga at 4:30 am I guzzled a Starbucks soy misto on the road. My on-the-go breakfast consisted of an apple and Larabar. Which explains why we were ready to grub when we finally… Read more >
