The word “leftovers” implies the portion in question was at some point unwanted. When you feast on farm fresh fare, this is most definitely not the case. But (shocking as it may seem) there was food left over from dinner. Swiss chard, grilled avocado, grilled bell peppers, and grape tomatoes (all from the farmer’s market), red quinoa, and vegan sausages. I don’t have a particularly fantastic work schedule at the moment, but at least I’m on day shift for the entire month. So I’m certainly not complaining! Well, that whole 405 “carmaggedon” thing turned out to be quite a bust. After hearing months and months of hype, I think everyone was expecting the worst…which caused people to take extraordinary measures (like riding your bike to work and then spending the weekend sleeping over at your cousin’s house). Since I am working all day shifts this month (hooray!) I have been doing my usual 4 am rise-and-shine before work. Taking Jillian on at the crack of dawn may seem crazy to most people, but I feel like a bada$$ when I’m done. So worth it. Since I did level 3 of The Shred the previous day, I decided to switch it up on Wednesday.
