My Tuesday and Wednesday. For your viewing pleasure. Breakfast. Banana bread + fried egg. Decaf, decaf, decaf. Lunch. Celery, carrots, zucchini egg muffins with fresh grind peanut butter. After Kyle woke up I went for a short jog around the ‘hood and then we headed downtown for fro-yo. Snack. So…hi again! I took some time off. And it was lovely. Maybe too lovely? It made me wonder if quitting HHH was an imminent reality… My free time is so precious now. But I do love having this space to share my latest food and life stuffs… But I have a job. And a kid. And a husband. And yadda yadda. I’m triaging my life like a freakin’ ER nurse. Priority #1 is family. And as you have now noticed, the blog is definitely on the backburner. That’s how I roll. C’est la vie…. Read more >

In the beginning of our relationship (8!!! years ago), Kyle and I ate different meals 99% of the time. Then he went vegetarian a year ago and we started eating the same things. It was pretty cool to plan dinners and grocery shop for us both in the same way. We still eat this way…until this past week… In an effort to clean out the fridge, I’ve been making a ton of not very FODMAP friendly meals for him. Meanwhile I’ve been on a total salad bender. They all have the same theme. NUTS! Lots… Read more >

And daiya pizza. And vegetarian chorizo & kale rice casserole. By the way, I totally figured out what this meal reminds me of. I am reluctant to share though, since it’s (cringe) Hamburger Helper. Don’t judge, just make it. And baked potatoes with the works. [There’s more of that vegan chorizo] And mushroom stroganoff. [I added TVP this time to increase the… Read more >

That’s the name of the meal I ordered at brunch on Saturday. Kyle’s parents took us to Real Food Daily, my favorite breakfast spot in Santa Monica. I love this place so much I’ve stopped linking to it on my restaurants tab because I’ve been at least a dozen times. My plate’s the one on the upper left. It has two (gluten free) pancakes, scrambled tofu (with onions, tomatoes, & cashew cheese), tempeh bacon, and hash browns. Holy breakfast right? You can choose between fruit or hash browns (can’t say no to fried taters!)… Read more >
