Is it really March already? I’m so glad that NuNaturals’ vanilla stevia is back in my life. Coffee is definitely my drug of choice, but this stuff is incredibly addicting. It’s like super-crack. Nothing like adding crack to another stimulant. So, I was seriously buzzzzzzed as I headed to the gym. Yes, oddly enough, I went to the gym today, and in the AM no less! I haven’t been feeling the gym much lately, but I was really pumped today and decided to get in some cardio while the iron was hot. How cool are… Read more >

By the time you read this, I am likely in the upper itty-bitty corner of WA chilling at the in-laws casa before heading across the border to Vancouver. Kyle and I put in a bid for Olympics tix decades ago and, amazingly enough, we got them for a pretty stellar event. If you keep your eyes peeled to your TV sets during the men’s US v. Canada ice hockey game, I promise I will try my best to do something obnoxious enough to get some air time (think stars & stripes face painting). I’m currently… Read more >

This is one of the more bare work lunches I have packed… Don’t worry, the apple-less state of this photo was remedied once I took my lunch break. Thank you Gracefully for providing such an abundance of eye candy organic fruit. Greens entered my bod in the form of spinach, brocc, and peas. The rest of the salad ingreds included adzuki beans, chickpeas, corn and dried cranz. Since Kyle has been a slave to the office, and I have hardly seen him over the last 72 hours, we decided a nice date night at Peacefood… Read more >

Don’t mistake the ornament mug for my embrace or acceptance of winter… Even though it was “sunny” over the weekend, it was still below freezing, and as much as I love running in races, 4 miles in Central Park just didn’t seem worth the misery of losing feeling in my fingers, toes, nose, ears, etc. Instead I slept in and spent time with Kyle…sorta. He actually had to work all weekend, which sucked since it was my weekend OFF of work. At least he was working from home? (that is definitely the only positive I… Read more >

My appetite was a monster the other day. Not a little monster either, a BIG a$$ monster. I didn’t have work, so I let myself sleep in a bit, but once my alarm went off at 8, my stomach was growling like an overly-protective Rottweiler. That’s not typical for me. My stomach usually needs a few minutes (or an hour) to warm up to the idea of calories. If you know me, you know I’m not a morning person, but my stomach is even less so. Ordinarily I ease it in with coffee…today, though, I… Read more >
