Oh yes I did. This shiz will blow your cabeza. I cannot put into words how awesome this recipe was. Even Kyle was making googly eyes at it. I have a feeling I am going to be making this with the same frequency as Lindsay Lohan’s relapses. Ingredients: small green bell pepper (I used 2/3 medium bell pepper) 1/2 yellow onion 1 tbsp garlic (I used garlic gold nuggets) 1 tomatillo 1 can (2 cups) black beans 10 corn tortillas 4 oz. diced green chilies 1 tsp lime juice 1 tsp cayenne pepper 28 oz…. Happy October! (source) I love love love this month. I probably always mention this, but October is my favorite month of the year. It’s Halloween, the (real) onset of Autumn, and several family birthdays – including mine!! And who doesn’t like their birth month?!? So yeah, I’m always excited when October arrives. Even more exciting? Today I signed all my job paperwork, so my date of hire is 10/1/10. I’m a big numbers freak, and that’s about as good as it gets. My favorite number is 5 and if you really want to know more… Read more >

I’ve been productive, but I hardly deserve a pat on the back since it’s all stuff that I should have accomplished last weekend. For breakfast on Tuesday I had a bowl of One Lucky Duck grawnola, cheerios, and bananas on top of greek yogurt. All for me 🙂 I have been cooking, too, but as you can see, blogging has taken the back burner. Also, I’ve been having a string of bottomless pit days. I’m sure you’re familiar. You know the days when you’re stomach just won’t quit. Which is all well and good, except that it leaves me with 482 photos to post. Ugh. I may as well dive… Read more >

My sister came to visit this weekend so Kyle and I did our best to show off Santa Monica in all it’s glory. The weather wasn’t cooperating, but despite the misty cloud cover, it was a weekend packed with fun. Friday morning we hiked to Inspiration Point in Will Roger’s State Park. By the time we got back it was lunch time and Huckleberry was calling our names. Laura has heard me rave about Huckleberry so many times, it was an obvious choice for lunch. First we split the white bean dip with a slice… Read more >
