Hooray! My boyfriend is back 🙂
We (sorta) slept in, but first thing upon waking, Kyle made us some nice frothy American coffee. I think he missed the ‘bucks while in China. Check out the MASSIVE mug he brought me home (I have an obsession with huge coffee mugs, especially Starbucks’ mugs from different cities).
Brekkie: Soynut butter on whole wheat tortillas. Look at all those delish grains and flax seeds! I love this brand of tortillas!
I also had a blueberry Chobz. I am really loving these flavored ones. I think blueberry is my fave, but I haven’t tried peach yet, so there is always potential for a coup d’état of the top spot.
I also had some fresh fruit and dried figs..sugar check!
Protein packed lunch sammich…I may have snuck a few bites of baked ‘fu on the side 🙂
Baked tofu AND smart deli “turkey” with baby arugula, hummus and greek yog, on Alvarado St bread
Manzana (to keep those pesky MDs away)!!
Dried pineapples. NOM!
Gym time. You know the drill. I was kinda feeling blah, but Kyle was not at all excited to exercise…he has a pretty good excuse though, and so “jetlag” won the battle. I went without him, but I was lazy and elliptical-ed for 45 minutes and called it a day. I think the overcast weather sometimes affects my energy level (clearly Erin and I are opposites in this aspect). Good thing I don’t live in Forks, WA (oh, and I’m not a vampire). Once I got home I replenished myself with hummus and the end piece of bread. Bread heel = mmmmm…
Time to get crackin on dinner!
I steamed some brocc and made quinoa.
In addition to the above, I made a big ‘ol ensalada (Bethenny would disapprove of the number of contents in this one for SURE)
Seitan and a mess of veggies on arugula lettuce.
I added in greek yog and hummus (maybe too much?).
Yeah right, like there’s such a thing as too much hummus!!!
Deezer 🙂
Chocolate soynut butter and pieces of A street bread (this shouldn’t count as dessert, since it is BASICALLY another meal), but who’s gonna tell on me…
Oh, and dried fruit, obviously!
Now, I would like everyone one to head over to my lover best girlfriend in the world’s new blog! She’s my soul sista, my other half, and now she too, is sharing her (vegan) thought with the world. I’ve talked about Jess several times before, because like I said, we have been inseparable since middle school. I think you’ll find her witty, crass humor as amusing and delightful as I do 🙂
Also, check out Every Gym’s Nightmare to win some literature (food bloggers can be well read, too)!
So glad you two are reunited!!! And it feels so good 😉
yay he’s back..and I will totally check your friend’s blog while i procrastinate my bio! 😀 I JUST bought alvarado st bread today, yeaaa boi it’s so good! After i jumped on the sabra wagon- i trust your foodie advice in full!

I totes recognized that mug before I even kept reading – I know my Bucks mugs 😉
That tortilla is amazing! Oh and Chobs, hooray!! Peach is my favorite flavored one now – it’s good!
Can I just say how much I adore that you use slices of bread to dip?!
Woo hoo! He’s back – and with fun coffee presents! Love your baked tofu. I’m now totally craving that and the blueberry Chobani for lunch.
