This weekend Kyle’s at UCLA for an orientation of sorts, and I’m working it up. (Yes, I do still have a job, but only for a few more weeks!) Hey, someone has to bring home the dough, right?
I packed my goodies, as per usual.
Salad. Bars. Teas. Carrots. Pretz/Raisins/Carob chips. Hummus. Apple.
(I actually had two other apples that I bought at the Union Square farmers market on my lunch break, too)
The size of the salad looks dwarfed by the photo on the right, but trust, it was large and in charge. It was a nice mix of spinach, delicata squash, matchstick carrots, and dried cranz.
In the mini-tupp was the most tahini-rrific hummus ever (from Nanoosh). It is so thick it has the consistency of cream cheese. And, as a very lovely reader informed me, they actually do take-out hummus. Score!!
I’m too tired to post my dinner because I haven’t uploaded the pics yet, but I have an even better post scheduled for tomorrow. Kyle and I went to Blue Hill the other night and it was OUT OF CONTROL. Hands down, it was my fave dinner in NYC. Ok, that’s a bold statement since I’ve had some pretty fancy shmancy dining experiences…but I promise the post I do will blow your mind. Mmmmm…I’m drooling just remembering it now. HA!
Ok, snooze time since it’s back to the hospital I go manana.
I am sure that you have mentioned this before, but do you already have a job lined up for when you head to california or are you just going to wing it??
You went to Blue Hill???I’ve always wanted to go there, it’s supposed to be mind-blowing. Have a great weekend girlie:)
I just checked out the Blue Hill website and it looks awesome, so neat you got to go there!! Looks incredible. Hope you have a great day at work girlie!!
I’m looking forward to your next post with pictures. What bar is that, not the Luna but the other? It looks really moist and good!
THAT’S THE NAME! hahaha i was seriously racking my brain the other night trying to remember the name of the restaurant you said you were going to! i was like uuh blue mountain, blue shark, blue fin, blue grass..
haha yay can’t wait to see your review!
when do you leave?! are you excited? doh, guess that answer is obvious…are you sad to be leaving NY? 🙁
Mmm I love tahini-riffic hummus–thick texture is key too! Sounds delish.
Hey!!
I’ve been lurking anonymously around your blog for a while, but never posted because my other blog was in spanish! So here I am with my new english blog, getting out of the closet (hehe) to say hi!
Have a nice sunday, bye!
Only packed goodies, as usual 😀
Have a fabulous Sunday, girl!
Brazilian XOXO´s,
Gabriela
OOh i just found your blog – so glad I stopped by, it’s great!
Totally believe you when you say the salad looks dwarfed in comparison. I pack HUUUUUUGE salads and somehow when i photograph them, it looks freakin’ tiny. hahah
I entered your giveaway!! Those baggies are super super cute!!
Hey Lindsay – I haven’t mentioned it actually, and I’ll probably do a post answering your Q in more detail later, but the short answer is – we are just going to wing it!
It was definitely mind blowing.
VERY excited. leaving early may. i think i will do a post with more details later on the move (who, what, when, where…)
thanks!
Ooh I’m a little jealous you are moving to a warmer climate so soon…are you excited about finding a new job, new place to live, etc? (Have you already answered these questions, lo siento if you have…)
Enjoy your last couple weeks of bread winning.
Boomi Bar – they are SOOO fantastic. They also make PranaBars which are equally as tasty. I would definitely recommend them. They are amazing – really great flavor and impressive nutritionals too!
Hola Lola 😉 Thanks for the compliment, can’t wait to check out your blog!
i know right? my salads always look so wimpy, but at least they look as colorful on camera, so the beauty factor is still there, just not the beast…
see latest post 🙂
