Happy October!

I love love love this month. I probably always mention this, but October is my favorite month of the year. It’s Halloween, the (real) onset of Autumn, and several family birthdays – including mine!! And who doesn’t like their birth month?!?
So yeah, I’m always excited when October arrives. Even more exciting? Today I signed all my job paperwork, so my date of hire is 10/1/10. I’m a big numbers freak, and that’s about as good as it gets. My favorite number is 5 and if you really want to know more about my numerical obsession confirmation that I’m a weirdo, my birthday is 10/23/82. Why is this so cool?
10 = multiple of 5
2+3 = 5
8+2 = 10 (see above)
Yes, I’m a weirdo. Anyone else have random math fascinations with dates, times, etc. I always note when the clock is 10:23 and deem it “my birthday”…and most of my family and friends do too, now! HA.
Ok, I got way off on a tangent there…reel it in Elise…
Last night Ethel and I made these.
I’m going to be out and about this weekend since Kyle’s parents are in town, but I will try to get that post up soon, along with this recipe that produced this gorgeousness.
Vegan enchiladas!!! They were freakin’ fantastic…I’m actually pretty impressed with myself since I completely made up the recipe from thin air.
Have a wonderful weekend all!
Just had to comment to say that YES, you are not alone in your mathematical birthday fascination. My birthday is May 2, 1989…or 5/2/89…or 5+2=7, aka 7,8,9…
Love it!
I am such a math nerd! My birthday is 8/21 and I always seem to notice when the clock says 8:21. I was really excited when I was standing in Best Buy on August 9th this year and I overheard someone say it was 8/9/10. I love it when stuff like that happens.
I’m a bit of a numbers freak. I know Janetha is too.
My lucky number is 211. Who do you know who has a 3-digit lucky number? Maybe it’s more significant than lucky. Anyway…
How psyched do you think I am that our wedding anniversary falls on 10/10/10 this year???
i always get excited when the clock reads my bday, too. and i live for times like 11:11 or 2:22…always making a wish. dont get me started on palindromes, especially on the speedometer. and yes, i still laugh when its 4:20 or i ever see a 69. anywhere. i’m a teen boy.
Oh my gosh! I have an incredibly huge fascination with numbers! You make me feel like i am a little bit closer to normal 😉 My birthday is at 7:14 everyday i see the clock at that time, obviously! I was born July 14 (the month is half of the day)… That sounds odd but it gets worse. My two lucky numbers are 3 and 7, my number on every sports team has been 37, my families birthdays added together equal 370. I always seem to look at the clock at 1:11 or 11:11 almost every day for some odd reason? I also won a huge bet for memorizing a sequence of 81 numbers in under a minute. You are definitely not alone, and i cannot wait for that enchilada recipe!
I definitely have an obsession with numbers! Whenever I buy a lottery ticket I always try to connect the numbers on the ticket to an important date. One time I picked all of my numbers and made them the birth month of every person in my family. Sadly, it was not the winning ticket. Those vegan enchiladas look fabulous! Can’t wait for the recipe 🙂
october is my favorite month of the year, too! my birthday is the 22nd 🙂 and i always look at the clock on my birthday time! it’s kind of freaky sometimes…!
I love fall and October too! Fall is seriously my FAVORITE time of year…yay!

Yessss, more number geeks!! My birthdate doesn’t do anything cool, much to my chagrin, but I do consider 7:24 to be my birthday time. I’m expecting a baby due 12/9/10, and I’m hoping like mad she’s born on 12/11/10. 12/2/10 would be cool too. My niece was born on 12/3/09, and I love the 12 – 3 = 9 math of that. 11 is my favorite number, and I joke to my husband that we should get knocked up again right away to try for 11/11/11 next year. Can you imagine?? Perfection!
I have a similar numbers thing with addresses.
