It’s been almost a full month now since Kyle and I tied the knot. Wow. Time flies when you’re…starting a new life. If you missed the first part of the big day, you can read about it here.
Now let’s see, where was I…oh right…about to walk down the aisle.
How proud does my dad look? Gah, I love him. These pictures bring tears to my eyes even now, weeks after the actual day. Try as I might to put my emotions into words, it’s almost an impossible task.
As I was walking down the aisle, the only thing I remember is locking eyes with Kyle. His expression said everything. We were both tearing up and beaming at the same time. Even though I was supposed to watch my step so I didn’t trip over my dress, I didn’t dare drop my gaze from his eyes. I couldn’t possibly begin to describe the surge of emotions I felt in that very instant, but I don’t imagine I will ever experience a more intense moment in my life.
I won’t go into too much detail in terms of the ceremony because that’s a bit too personal, but Kyle and I wrote our own vows and it was beautiful.
Pastor Dave cracked a joke.
Which nobody (including us) saw coming.
Hilarious.
You may kiss the bride.
Husband and wife. 😀
Right after we left the church we gathered on the side to take photos.
Clearly I was on cloud nine, because I don’t even remember this…I’m so glad the photographer was there to capture the moment.
After some family photos at the church, it was time to pile in the limos and head over to the reception.
Unlike the last limo ride, this one was a non-stop dance party. We blasted everything from Gaga to Notorious BIG – it was a freakin’ celebration!
Three words: limos icing limos.
Despite appearances (and aforementioned frat boy drinking games), we are a classy bunch.
We took more photos around the church and reception site with the entire wedding party…
What hideous scenery! Ha.
Our reception was at The Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon. It was absolutely breath taking.
I’m sorry about the photo overload, but I can’t seem to narrow my favorites down to fewer than 50 photos…
The can-can (failed).
Popping the bubbly (again).
Cheers!!!!
…and then it was time to be announced…
This post is already getting a bit lengthy and I don’t want to cut corners…especially when it comes to the fun! I can assure you the final wedding post will be coming soon, complete with the food, cake, dancing, and my personal project – the centerpieces.
Until then, enjoy a piece of cake.
