This past weekend we were out of cell phone reach and it was so awesome.
The drive there was loooooong but P finally gave in a slept for a bit of the way.
And we had these guys waiting to greet us when we arrived.
As well as these guys. We picked eggs for the next morning.
And now P completely understands the relationship between chickens and eggs. Seeing it first hand does so much more than a book can, that’s for sure.
Breakfast time!
As you can see we went with lots of friends (and their babies), which was awesome because everyone gets the flexible nature of traveling with toddlers (naptimes, early dinners, etc.).
We are all hoping to make it an annual trip because it was so fun.
I mean tractors and farm animals alone make it little boy heaven…but staying up late with other adults while our children slept in the floors above us? Perfection.
The drive home was (dare I say?) even worse than the way there, but we had fresh memories of fun to reflect on, so we got through it and now we are home and back to the usual.
