I was just wondering if you’ve ever been to SAGE…? it’s an all vegan restaurant in Echo park that is seriously worth the drive. If you haven’t you should check it out! (and write a review) haha.
thanks for the recommendation! i will definitely check it out 🙂
Pizza Fusion has a few locations in so cal- Hollywood, Temecula, etc. Whatever it serves that’s not organic is all natural and preservative-free, etc. and there are various vegan options as well. Also, it’s very delicious!!
yum. sounds great. im adding it to my list of to-try places. thanks!

hey I just randomly came across your blog and wanted to ask, is the hungry hungry hippie sandwich at locali named after you?
haha, no, i wish i could say yes, but its not. glad you found me either way 🙂
So happy to have stumbled across your blog! Have you been to Madeleine Bistro yet? It’s in Tarzana but it is THE BEST! They may be closing soon 🙁 so go check it out! Great posts 🙂
oh no! ill have to go check it out…thanks for the rec. does it have a sister location in santa monica (?) because theres one here with the same name!
Oh my god you have to try Shojin in Downtown! Its a vegan Japanese fusion place and it is my FAVORITE restaurant in LA (and second fav after Malabar in Santa Cruz)

happy dining!
Ash
thanks ash! ill put it on the top of our list. i dont go downtown often but vegan/macro japanese fusion sounds yummy.
Just came across your blog… Love it. If you ever come to San Diego, North Park has a new amazing vegan, organic restaurant called Casa de Luz. There is one in Austin, too. It is amazing. It has community seating and one dish prepared fresh for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus soup and salad. The menu changes daily. Wednesday might is raw night.
excellent! thanks sarah. we keep meaning to plan a trip down to SD, so send any more recs you have my way 🙂

Yes you should check out Sage, and while you are in the neighborhood. You should look into:
Elf Cafe: Mediterranean vegan yumminess, amazing wild mushroom
risotto!
Flore Vegan: so great, everything is fresh and yummy, their wheat free chocolate cupcakes are divine!
Cruzers Pizza: All vegan pizza, they use yummy melty Daiya.
Lucifer’s Pizza: which I like to call Gothic Dominoes, has an amazing pizza vegan with pumpkin so tasty.
Cafe Gratitude: Hands down one of yummiest places I’ve eaten in LA, raw and cooked vegan meals, great organic wines too.
Sun Cafe: right up the 101 from Hollywood, amazing vegan barbecue sandwiches, and pizzas, yummy smoothies.
KindKreme: Around the corner from Sun Cafe, I suggest this location because of their soft serve machine, Soft Serve vegan, brownie Sunday with salted carmel sauce and cacao nibs, I mean forget about it. They will also make you an ice-cream sandwich with baby cakes cookies if your heart so desires…heaven.
Go check ’em out!
omg, this list is awesome!!! you rock!!
